Cree announces its white LED luminous efficacy breakthrough of 231lm/W
U.S. LED chip giant Cree (CREE) recently announced its white LED luminous efficacy breakthrough of 231lm/W, and will continue to pursue technological innovation on this record, continuously promoting the development of the LED lighting industry.

Cree stated that the company used a single-module component, and under a color temperature of 4500K and a standard test chamber temperature of 350mA, measured the white LED luminous efficacy at 231lm/W. This innovative technology can be applied to Cree XLamp white LEDs and improve their luminous efficacy. Cree believes that high-performance LEDs can promote LED applications in new fields and reduce the design costs of LED solutions. However, it has not yet been applied to Cree's LED product line.
In 2010, Cree achieved a white LED luminous efficacy breakthrough of 200lm/W, which was considered the highest luminous efficacy in the LED lighting field at the time, and now reaching 231lm/W is considered to have broken the industry's highest luminous efficacy record.
