The Shanghai World Expo Park conducted its fourth trial run yesterday and conducted its first "stress test" of nighttime operations. During the day yesterday, the park was still bustling with crowds. The most popular China National Pavilion adopted a reservation method yesterday that split visitors between morning and afternoon sessions. An on-site volunteer told reporters that the 30,000 reservation tickets were distributed within half an hour of the park opening, and there was no rush when visitors collected them. In addition to the China Pavilion, the Germany Pavilion, France Pavilion, Italy Pavilion, Saudi Arabia Pavilion, Japan Pavilion, Australia Pavilion, and World Meteorological Pavilion were also very popular yesterday. The general queuing time was about 2 hours, and the most popular Germany Pavilion required queuing for over 3 hours. Although the queues snaked around for a long distance, visitors chatted and laughed patiently as they moved forward in line. After the World Expo organizers repeatedly made announcements over the broadcast, some visitors in the Pudong area took ferries or the subway to head to the Puxi area, and the crowd-diversion effect began to show.

The dining difficulty that visitors had generally reported during the first trial run was also largely alleviated yesterday. According to the reporter's observations, no long queues were needed during the lunch peak to get a meal.
