"COB Application Solution Theme Salon" First Season Successfully Concluded

　　On September 8, 2013, at Shenzhen Bantian Longgang Creative Park, the first season of the "COB Application Solution Theme Salon" was successfully held.

　　This event was organized by Shenzhen Decheng Intelligent Manufacturing Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Yideng.com. It received strong support from Zhongshan Darke Optics Co., Ltd., Taiwan Qihan Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Xinruite Co., Ltd. The leaders and guests attending this salon included representatives from renowned companies such as Sharp, Citizen, Prui Lighting, TSMC, Qihan Optoelectronics, Edison Optoelectronics, Honglvlan (RGB), Guangtuo Optoelectronics, Darke, Xinruite, Chaohonghui Optoelectronics, Unilumin, and Yasong Lighting.

　　The salon was mainly conducted through guest speeches and face-to-face exchanges among attendees, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for the meeting, allowing more industry professionals to engage in discussions about a series of issues encountered in COB applications and propose corresponding solutions.

　　This salon meeting is mainly divided into two sessions. The first session covers the application of COB LED chips and the matching solution for COB power supplies; the second session covers optical design applications and thermal management solutions. The four sections are closely linked, building upon one another step by step, focusing entirely on COB applications for discussion and experience sharing.

　　Mr. Luo Fuxiang, representative of Taiwan Qihan Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., first presented his views on COB applications. He proposed requirements for comprehensive testing of COB's optical, color, thermal, and electrical properties under specific substrate temperatures for both experimental test plans and production line test plans, making the test results closer to actual usage conditions. He also proposed a series of solutions integrating optics, thermodynamics, and driver technologies.

　　Mr. Deng Huaxin, representative of Shenzhen Xinruite Technology Co., Ltd., emphasized the classic phrase "Core Technology, Green Application" in his sharing. The core technology focuses on achieving high-frequency electrical energy conversion through three aspects: power electronics, real-time control, and networked monitoring, realizing the technical application of green energy. From the perspective of experience, he shared how to help customers improve product specifications, discussed how to optimize product solutions, and received unanimous affirmation from the attendees.

Mr. Xiong Dazhang, General Manager of Zhongshan Darke Optics Co., Ltd., with his usual humorous and witty style, shared his insights on the comparison between COB and point light source secondary optics. He approached the topic from the perspectives of geometric optics theory, secondary optical design comparison, and its implementation methods, pointing out some inevitable drawbacks in COB optical design while leveraging strengths to maximize light efficiency.

Mr. Lan Decheng from Shenzhen Decheng Intelligent Manufacturing Optoelectronic Technology Development Co., Ltd. shared some design ideas for lamp heat dissipation from the perspective of supporting professionalism. Using product examples, he discussed with everyone the contact thermal resistance issue that cannot be ignored and improvement solutions, using an aluminum housing to conduct the overall temperature for heat dissipation with the plastic lamp head assisting heat dissipation, keeping the entire lamp in a heat dissipation state. Under the same test conditions, there is a reduction of 3-4 degrees. In the future, we will improve the lamp head structure to add more heat dissipation area, and the effect should be more ideal.

At the current stage of COB development, there are no unified standard dimensions and limited supporting components. Through the salon format, numerous excellent suppliers are brought together to share and promote industry development; serving numerous lighting manufacturers, reducing product manufacturers' development cycles, improving response times, allowing greater focus on market development, and achieving a win-win cooperation.
