2011 LED Lighting Fixture Design and Packaging Technology Training Class Held in Wuxi

Hosted by the Talent Training Working Committee of the China Association of Lighting Industry, and organized by China Light Network (www.cali-light.com ), the official website of the China Association of Lighting Industry, the Lighting Engineer Community Talent Training Center, and the School of Science of Jiangnan University, the 2011 LED Lighting Fixture Design and Packaging Technology Training Class was successfully held on May 16-18 at Wuxi Changguangxi Hotel.

LED lighting is the direction of future energy-saving lighting industry development, and schools contain inexhaustible power to drive the development of emerging industries. The 2011 LED Lighting Fixture Design and Packaging Technology Training Class curriculum focuses on practice supplemented by theory, while organizing a group of influential expert professors in the LED lighting industry to impart relevant knowledge. Participants were mostly heads and engineers of LED lighting fixture design, R&D, packaging, drive and control technology; as well as practitioners in related industrial and academic fields such as LED lighting design, LED product design, LED packaging design, and optoelectronic enterprises.

　　On the morning of May 16, the lecture topic delivered by Professor Fang Zhilie was LED Packaging Technology and Its Analysis, which mainly introduced LED device design and LED packaging technology. The students listened attentively in class, and after class they were even more active in discussing questions with Professor Fang.

　　On the afternoon of May 17, the training course on Optical Design and Optical Simulation of LED Lighting Products (Software Application Practical Operation Explanation) was conducted in the research room of the College of Science at Jiangnan University. Dr. Su Zhouping from the College of Science at Jiangnan University led everyone through practical operation explanations covering Introduction to LED Optics, LED Optical Design, LED Optical Simulation, and Optical Design Software Application (hands-on computer operation).
