Multiple Countries' Lighting Industry Associations Jointly Announce Leadership in LED Lighting
To accelerate the development of LED lighting, lighting industry associations from multiple countries around the world recently jointly announced the coordination and promotion of LED technology development at a global level. At its fourth meeting held in Shenzhen, China, the Global Lighting Forum (GLF) held a kickoff meeting for its LED Working Group.
LED lighting, with its excellent energy-saving effects, lighting quality, service life and adaptability, has transformed the lighting industry and has broad prospects. To ensure its smooth development, the Global Lighting Forum has established the LED Working Group and is committed to the development of this technology.
Mr. Jan Denneman of the Global Lighting Forum believes that LED plays a very important role in all areas of lighting applications. The world will witness a revolution in lighting that, while reducing energy consumption, allows people to enjoy a brand new lighting experience.
GLF's primary tasks:
Contact stakeholders, including governments and international organizations. Ensure that consumers are provided with high-quality LED lighting products, including performance requirements that meet the needs of different markets.
Assist in the establishment of international standards and coordinate standards in different regions of the world.
Compile educational materials on solid-state lighting, including best-use manuals and solid-state lighting terminology.
