Philips launches new white-emitting organic OLED lighting panel

Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands and Japan's Konica Minolta jointly developed a new white-emitting organic EL lighting panel "LumibladePLUS", which was exhibited by Philips at the lighting exhibition "euroluce2011" held in Milan, Italy from April 12-17, 2011.

　　The materials for this panel were developed by Konica Minolta, with production then outsourced to Philips. Philips has begun online sales of the product (Philips sales website). The price is 120 euros per panel, and the minimum order quantity for panels is 100.

　　In addition, Konica Minolta plans to sell independently according to customer requirements. However, "the supply time will be around autumn 2011" (Konica Minolta).

　　According to the introduction, the luminous efficiency of this new panel is 45lm/W, which is the highest level in the world among mass-produced white organic OLED lighting panels. It is nearly 3 times higher than the 12lm/W of Philips' existing product "Lumiblade". All the luminescent materials used in this product are phosphorescent materials.

　　The panel size is 70mm square, with a thickness of 1.8mm. The aperture size is 60.5mm×61.4mm. When the voltage is 3.6V, the current is 71.5mA. The brightness is 1000cd/m2, and the luminous lifetime is 10,000 hours. The color temperature is 2800K, and the color coordinates are (0.45, 0.41).
