Taiwan's "Ministry of Economic Affairs" selects LED and others as priority cross-strait cooperation industries

　　According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency," to seize the business opportunities of the mainland's "Twelfth Five-Year Plan," Taiwan's "Ministry of Economic Affairs" announced the establishment of the "Cross-Strait Industrial Layout Strategy Group," selecting LED, electric vehicles, cold-chain logistics, and the Internet of Things as priority cooperation industries between the two sides.

　　The business opportunities of the mainland's "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" are attractive. Taiwan's "Minister of Economic Affairs" Shi Yanxiang is leading Taiwanese manufacturers forward for the first time, personally serving as convener of the "Cross-Strait Industrial Layout Strategy Group," changing the past approach in which individual Taiwanese private companies ventured to the mainland on their own. Instead, the authorities will play an active role, helping manufacturers capture the business opportunities of the mainland's "Twelfth Five-Year Plan."

　　Shi Yanxiang stated that, as the mainland is about to implement its "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" this year, in order to accelerate the industrial layout of Taiwan's industries on the mainland, the "Ministry of Economic Affairs" has decided to establish the "Cross-Strait Industrial Layout Strategy Group," which will invite think tanks, corporate groups, and other institutions to conduct research on specific industries and engage in discussions with the mainland, seeking to maximize benefits.

　　Shi Yan-xiang further pointed out that the "Ministry of Economic Affairs" has selected LED (Light Emitting Diode), electric vehicles, cold chain logistics and the Internet of Things as priority projects, adopting a high-level strategic approach in response to the arrival of an era of cross-strait industrial competition and cooperation.
