DLC officially releases Plant Light 3.0
On November 30, 2022, DLC released the official standard for Plant Light V3.0 and the random inspection policy for plant lights. Plant Light V3.0 is expected to take effect on March 31, 2023, while the first round of random inspections for plant lights is expected to begin in Q1 2024.
The updates introduced this time mainly involve the following 5 points:
1. Increase in plant light luminous efficacy (PPE) requirements
Plant Lamp V3.0 requires PPE to be greater than 2.3μmol/J (tolerance -5%)
2. Product information requirements
Plant Lamp V3.0 adds the requirement to specify the following product information in the product specification sheet:

3. Requirements for product control capabilities
Plant Lamp V3.0 adds requirements for product dimming capabilities and descriptions of control functions.
Dimming capability requirements (no testing required; state in product specification):
² AC products with PPF ≥ 350μmol/s and all DC products and light source products must have dimming functionality.
² AC products with PPF < 350μmol/s only need to report dimming capability.
Furthermore, for dimming and control functions, control attributes, and acceptance/transmission hardware descriptions, DLC also requires providing relevant control standards/protocols. (Select the corresponding control standard/protocol for the product from the table below.)

4. Testing standards require updates
Plant Light V3.0 only accepts LM79-19 test standard's 79 test reports (no longer accepts LM79-08).
5. Plant Light Sampling Policy
The Plant Light V3.0 also includes a sampling policy for plant light products, with specific requirements as follows:
