European Commission approves AMS acquisition of OSRAM
On July 6, globally renowned Austrian high-performance sensor solution provider AMS announced that it has received unconditional regulatory approval from the European Commission to acquire OSRAM.
The approval by the EU regulatory authorities constitutes the final condition for completing the transaction. Therefore, AMS expects to pay the offer price to the offer share holders and conclude the acquisition offer on July 9, 2020. Upon completion of the transaction, AMS will hold all 69% of OSRAM's shares (excluding treasury shares).
