Lighting for the Greek Variety Voyager Luxury Yacht

Recently, the Greek shipyard S.N. Dasiras announced the completion and launch of an advanced luxury yacht. This super luxury yacht is 66 meters long, features 36 cabins, can accommodate 72 passengers and 32 crew members. The adopted Megaman® energy saving and environmental protection lighting solution saves the yacht €19,450 in electricity costs annually and reduces CO2 emissions by 125,080 kg*.

Antonis Maravelias, Electrical Engineer and Communication Customization Specialist at Technomare Technology, explained: "We collaborated with Lally Poulias and lighting fixture designers to meet the owner's lighting design requirements while maintaining the energy saving and maintenance benefits of the lighting system. Megaman® light bulbs are widely used on yachts due to their outstanding lighting effects; their warm color effect is no inferior to quartz lamps, making them the ideal choice for energy saving replacements. In addition, Megaman® reflector lamps do not produce glare, have a robust and durable structure, and offer a long average life."


  

Megaman® light bulbs were used in the yacht's three decks, VIP lounge, internet cafe and reading room, indoor and outdoor restaurants, corridors, stairs and crew service areas. In addition, Megaman® light bulbs were also applied in the Variety Voyager's spa, gym, beauty salon and spacious deck areas.

  

A total of 800 Megaman® 7W GU10 warm yellow 35° LED PAR16 spotlights were used in the yacht corridors and cabins, with a beam intensity of up to 600 cd. In addition, 150 Megaman® 7W GU10 15-degree dimmable LED PAR16 spotlights were installed. The restaurant and bar areas feature 180 Megaman® 7W GU10 dimmable LED PAR16 spotlights, while the terrace area uses 80 Megaman® 15W GU10 LED AR111 spotlights.


  

Through the close collaboration of Technomare Technology, S.N. Dassiras, Lally Poulias Designs, and Megaman®, an energy-efficient luxury yacht combining the latest energy-saving technology with aesthetic appeal was born.
