2. Design Description
This project is the dedicated venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Asian Games. According to its functional requirements, the venue should aim to create an environment embodying "harmony, friendship, and gathering." Guided by the Asian Games venue design concept of "Asian culture, Chinese characteristics, Guangdong style, and Guangzhou flair," and combined with the Asian Games philosophy of "green, humanistic, and technological," through lighting design, we primarily reflected the following elements in the interior design of the venue, from small to large scale: Pearl River water, Flower City, Lingnan, China, and Asia.
Following the architectural design concept of a "ship," showcasing Guangzhou's characteristic as the "Flower City," reflecting architectural elements located in Lingnan, expressing the profound culture of classic China, integrating harmonious symbols of Asia, and adopting light sources, thus forming the result of our design proposal.
Through our lighting design work, we strive to provide a gala environment that is "safe and considerate" for VIPs and "relaxed and enjoyable" for the audience, allowing guests to experience a "unique and wonderful" journey in Guangzhou.
