Appreciation of the Lighting Design for EPAL Water Company's "Water Museum" in Portugal
The Water Museum, affiliated with Portugal's EPAL Water Company, focuses on all aspects related to water and conducts external education and popularization of scientific knowledge about water. Unlike many traditional corporate museums, EPAL does not confine itself to exploring its own corporate history.

The design concept of this permanent exhibition space is related to river channels, namely: water constantly flows along the channel. This idea is realized through customized display stands and a color design that blends the stands with the floor.

On the ceiling, the designers cleverly created a special double-layer structure providing lighting, with a mirror symmetry effect that looks very novel and fantastic, while also integrating specially designed tabletops to help visitors quickly understand the information in the museum.

The main audience of the museum is primary and secondary school students, and precisely because of this, the main content of the exhibition is displayed on specially made stands (these stands specifically enhance interactive experience and are lowered in height). Various infographics on the walls inside the museum have also been specially simplified to facilitate understanding for these children.
